Delete your Sortd data

You can request deletion of your Sortd driver account and personal data at any time. This page explains how to request it, what we delete, and what we’re required to keep.

01 · Who this applies to

Sortd is a workforce app for delivery drivers at Amazon Delivery Service Partner (DSP) fleets. If you’re a driver using the Sortd mobile app (iOS or Android), this page explains how to delete your driver data. Your DSP employer is a separate customer of ours with their own data; this page only covers your personal data as an individual driver.

02 · How to request deletion

You have two options — pick whichever is easier:

Option A · In the app (fastest)

Open the Sortd app and sign in.
Tap the “Me” tab (bottom right).
Scroll to the bottom and tap “Delete my account”.
Confirm with your 6-digit PIN.
You’ll receive a confirmation email within 24 hours. Deletion completes within 30 days.

Option B · By email

Send an email to automateboringai@gmail.com from the email address tied to your account (or include the phone number you use to log in so we can verify you).
Subject: “Delete my Sortd driver data”.
A human will reply within two business days to confirm your identity and schedule deletion.
Deletion completes within 30 days of verification.

03 · What we delete

When you request deletion, we permanently remove the following from our systems:

Account profile — Name, phone number, email, date of birth, any photos you uploaded, biometric preferences, push-notification tokens.
Messages and chats — Your direct messages with dispatch and HR. Announcement channel posts sent by others remain for your co-workers; we scrub your name from replies you wrote.
HR and self-reported data — Call-out reasons, PTO requests, incident self-reports, corrective-action signatures, and any feedback you submitted.
App usage data tied to you — Crash logs, diagnostics, and analytics events that include your driver ID. Aggregated usage counts (with no identifiers) may remain for product analytics.
Session data — Supabase auth sessions, SMS one-time passwords, and any cached device identifiers.

04 · What we have to keep (and why)

A small amount of data must remain for legal, safety, and employer-record reasons. This is not optional — it is required by federal and state employment, safety, and tax law. Your DSP employer, not Sortd, is the custodian of these records.

Payroll and timekeeping records — Hours worked and pay records are retained for a minimum of 3 years (FLSA) to 4 years (IRS). We cannot delete these while you are or were an employee of your DSP.
Workplace incident records (OSHA / Workers’ Comp) — Injury reports and OSHA 300 log entries are retained for 5 years after the end of the calendar year (OSHA rule 29 CFR 1904.33). Workers’ comp forms may have longer state-specific retention.
SMS opt-out list — Your phone number is kept on a suppression list indefinitely so we don’t accidentally text you again after you opted out. The list contains only the phone number, no other identifiers.
Anonymized analytics — Events without any personal identifier (e.g., “anonymous user completed onboarding”) may be retained indefinitely for product improvement.

For required records above, we isolate them in a separate compliance-only data store with access restricted to legal/HR administrators. They are never used for marketing, analytics, or any other purpose.

05 · Timelines

Request acknowledgment — Within 2 business days.
Identity verification — Same email or PIN used to request — no separate form.
Deletion completion — Within 30 days of verification.
Backups — Encrypted nightly backups are retained for 30 days on a rolling basis. Your data is purged from backups when they age out — no later than 60 days after deletion.
