IntroVid Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 19, 2026
IntroVid is a one-way video interview service operated by Deliverimates LLC (“AutomateBoring.ai,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what personal information IntroVid collects, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have.
It covers the IntroVid app at https://introvid.automateboring.ai, candidate interview links, and the IntroVid pages at https://www.automateboring.ai/introvid. Our Terms of Service also apply.
The short version
- Employers use IntroVid to invite job candidates to record short video or audio answers to interview questions. The employer that invited you controls your interview and makes every hiring decision.
- You are told how your answers will be used, and you give consent, before anything is recorded.
- On paid plans, AI helps transcribe and summarize answers and gives a job-fit score. That output is advice for a human reviewer. IntroVid never rejects or advances a candidate on its own.
- We do not sell or share personal information for advertising. We do not train AI models on your recordings, and our AI providers are not allowed to either.
- Recordings, transcripts, job-fit scores, and recruiter notes are kept only for the employer’s retention period (90 days by default) and are then deleted automatically. You can ask for deletion at any time, and we complete it within 30 days.
- Reply STOP to any IntroVid text message to stop texts.
1. Who we are and our role
For candidates. The employer (or staffing agency) that invited you decides why and how your interview data is used. Under privacy laws, the employer is the “controller” or “business,” and IntroVid is its “processor” or “service provider.” We handle your interview data only on the employer’s instructions and to run IntroVid. The employer’s own privacy notice also applies, and it is usually the best first place to send questions or requests about your application. You can always contact us too (see Section 15).
For employers and recruiters. For your own account, sign-in, workspace, and billing information, Deliverimates LLC is the controller or business.
2. Information we collect
From candidates
- Contact details: your name, email address, and mobile phone number, entered by the employer or by you on an employer’s application form.
- Interview recordings: the video or audio answers you record (you can choose audio-only if your camera does not work), how long each answer is, how many retakes you used, and which questions you answered.
- Interview language: English or Spanish, based on the job setting, your choice, or your browser.
- Transcripts: a text transcript of each answer and a measure of how confident the transcription was.
- AI review output (paid plans only): a short summary, a 0–100 job-fit score, a 1–5 rating with a short quote for each job criterion, any flags (for example, an answer with no usable audio), and suggested follow-up questions.
- Employer review data: notes, ratings, comments, scorecards, and decisions (for example, advanced or not selected) that the hiring team records.
- Progress data: whether and when you opened, started, and submitted the interview.
- Consent and notice records: when you accepted the consent notice and for what purpose, which notices you were shown, and, if you opt in to text messages, the opt-in wording you agreed to along with the IP address and browser type you used at the time.
- Message records: the emails and text messages sent to you, their delivery status, and any STOP or START reply.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and similar information in our server and security logs, and whether your browser allowed camera and microphone access.
You do not need to create an account to complete an interview.
From employers and recruiters
- Account data: name, work email, workspace name, and role. If you use Continue with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier from Google. Email and password sign-in is used only for accounts we set up directly.
- Verification data: your work email and mobile phone number, verified with a one-time code.
- Workspace content: jobs, interview questions, job criteria, branding, retention settings, team members, and integration settings (such as a Zapier webhook URL).
- Billing data: plan and subscription status. Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
- Usage and audit data: sign-in activity, actions taken in the workspace, and IP addresses used for sending text messages (for abuse prevention).
Cookies and tracking
IntroVid uses only the browser storage needed to keep you signed in and to make the app work. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party analytics or tracking tools in the IntroVid app or on candidate interview links.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- send interview invitations and reminders by email, text message, or shareable link, when the employer asks us to;
- record, store, and play back interviews for the employer’s hiring team;
- transcribe answers and, on paid plans, produce AI-assisted summaries and job-fit scores for a human reviewer;
- keep consent, opt-out, notice, and decision records that show legal compliance;
- send candidate updates to tools the employer connects (such as Zapier);
- run, secure, troubleshoot, and support IntroVid, prevent fraud and abuse (for example, messaging rate limits), and bill customers; and
- comply with the law and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, use it for marketing to candidates, or use recordings, audio, transcripts, or candidate data to train AI models.
4. Consent before recording
Before any recording starts, the candidate interview link shows a notice that explains:
- which employer will review your answers and for which job;
- that a human makes the hiring decision and that AI, if used, is advisory only;
- what the AI does and does not evaluate;
- how long recordings and transcripts are kept; and
- which outside providers process your answers.
You must accept that notice before you can record. If you do not agree, simply close the link; nothing is recorded. We keep a record of when you consented and what you were shown.
5. How AI is used
- What is evaluated. Only the text transcript of your answers. The AI compares what you said with the criteria the employer set for the job and rates how relevant and specific your answers are.
- What is not evaluated. Your appearance, face, facial expressions, voice, accent, age, race, gender, disability, religion, national origin, or any other protected characteristic. The AI is instructed not to infer these. IntroVid does not use facial recognition, voiceprints, or other biometric identifiers.
- What it produces. A short summary, a 0–100 job-fit score, a 1–5 rating with a supporting quote for each criterion, any flags, and follow-up questions the reviewer might ask. The score describes fit against the employer’s criteria. It is not a prediction of whether you will be hired.
- Human decisions only. The output is decision support. A person at the employer reviews your answers and makes every decision. IntroVid does not automatically reject, advance, rank out, or screen out any candidate.
- Plans. AI review runs only for employers on paid plans. On the Free plan, answers are transcribed but not scored.
- Accommodations and alternatives. If you have a disability, a speech or language difference, or would rather your interview not be reviewed with AI help, you can ask the employer for an accommodation or an alternative, such as an audio-only recording, a written response, a phone call, an in-person interview, or review without AI. You can also email us at automateboringai@gmail.com with the employer’s name and the job, and we will pass your request to the employer promptly. Asking will not be held against you.
6. How we share information
- With the employer. Your recordings, transcripts, AI output, contact details, and progress are available to the hiring team at the employer that invited you and to people that employer authorizes.
- With integrations the employer turns on. If the employer connects Zapier, IntroVid sends your candidate ID, name, email address, stage, and score to the employer’s own Zap when your interview is scored. From there, the data is handled under the employer’s control and the employer’s agreements with those tools.
- With our service providers. Only the providers listed in Section 7, only to run IntroVid, and only under terms that limit their use of the data.
- Our staff. Only for support, security, or legal reasons, through access that is logged with who accessed the data, why, and when.
- For legal reasons. To comply with law or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of candidates, customers, us, or others.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may transfer as part of that deal, subject to this policy.
We do not share candidate recordings with anyone except the employer that invited you, people the employer authorizes, and the service providers needed to store, transcribe, and review them.
7. Service providers (subprocessors)
| Provider | What it does for IntroVid | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, sign-in, and storage for interview recordings (United States) | All IntroVid data |
| Railway | Hosting for the IntroVid app and background processing | All IntroVid data while it is processed |
| Deepgram | Speech-to-text transcription of interview answers | Recorded answers (audio and video files) |
| Anthropic | AI-assisted summaries and job-fit scores (paid plans) | Job title, questions, job criteria, and answer transcripts. Your name, email, and phone are not sent. |
| Twilio | SMS provider: candidate text messages, STOP/HELP handling, and recruiter phone verification codes | Mobile numbers and message content |
| Resend | Interview invitation and reminder emails | Email addresses and message content |
| Stripe | Subscription billing and payments | Employer billing details |
| ”Continue with Google” sign-in for recruiters | Recruiter name and email address |
We have instructed Deepgram not to retain interview audio or use it for model training: each transcription request is sent with Deepgram’s model-improvement program turned off, so Deepgram keeps the audio and transcript only for as long as it takes to process that request. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, Anthropic does not train models on the data we send and deletes it within 30 days.
We may change providers over time. We will update this list when we do.
8. How long we keep information
- Candidate interviews. Each employer sets a retention period of up to 365 days. If the employer has not chosen one, the period is 90 days. For a submitted interview, the period runs from when you submitted it. For an interview you never finished, it runs from your last activity or from when your invite link expired, whichever is later. Within a few days after the period ends, we automatically delete your recordings, transcripts, AI summaries, job-fit scores and ratings, and recruiter notes, ratings, and comments, and remove your name, email, and phone number.
- Submissions over a plan limit. If an employer has reached its plan’s monthly limit on reviewed interviews, a new submission is locked from the hiring team until the employer upgrades, and it is deleted if it is still locked 30 days later.
- Legal hold. An employer may place an interview on legal hold, for example during a dispute or audit. Held interviews are not deleted until the hold is released.
- What we keep after deletion. A minimal record that consent was given, that notices were shown, and that a human decision was made, with your name, email, phone, IP address, and message content removed. We also keep text-message opt-outs, including the phone number, so that we never text a number that said STOP. We keep these records to show that we and the employer followed the law.
- Backups. Deleted data can remain in our hosting providers’ encrypted backups for a limited time until those backups are overwritten.
- Provider copies. Copies of emails and text messages held by Resend and Twilio expire under those providers’ own retention schedules. Data sent to Deepgram and Anthropic is handled as described in Section 7.
- Employer accounts. Kept while the account is active and afterward only as long as needed for legal, tax, accounting, and dispute purposes.
9. Deleting your interview
You can ask for your interview to be deleted at any time.
- Email automateboringai@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my IntroVid interview.” Include your name, the email address or phone number your invite was sent to, and the employer’s name. You can also ask the employer directly.
- We will verify the request, let the employer know, and delete your recordings, transcripts, AI summaries, job-fit scores, recruiter notes, and contact details within 30 days of receiving it, including copies held by our service providers where they can be deleted. If a legal hold or a legal requirement prevents deletion, we will tell you.
- After deletion, we keep only the minimal compliance records described in Section 8.
10. Illinois: Artificial Intelligence Video Interview Act
If you are applying for a position based in Illinois:
- Notice. Before the interview, you are told that AI may be used to help review your answers.
- Explanation. Section 5 explains how the AI works and what general types of characteristics it uses: only the transcript of your answers, compared against the employer’s job criteria.
- Consent. You must consent before you can record. If you do not consent, the AI is not used on your interview because no interview is recorded.
- Sharing limits. Your video is shared only with people whose expertise or technology is needed to evaluate your fitness for the position: the employer’s hiring team and the service providers in Section 7.
- Deletion. If you ask, your video and all copies are deleted within 30 days, including copies held by anyone the employer or we shared them with, as described in Section 9.
Employers remain responsible for their own obligations under this law, including any demographic reporting that may apply to them.
11. New York City: automated employment decision tools
New York City Local Law 144 regulates “automated employment decision tools” used to substantially assist or replace hiring decisions for jobs in New York City. IntroVid’s AI output is advisory, and IntroVid does not make or replace any hiring decision. Each employer decides how it uses IntroVid and whether its use falls under this law. Where it does, the employer is responsible for the required bias audit and candidate notices, and we will provide information about how IntroVid’s scoring works to help it do so. Candidates in New York City can ask the employer for an alternative selection process or an accommodation.
12. Text messages (SMS)
- IntroVid texts candidates only about interview invitations and reminders for a specific job application, at the employer’s request, and only to numbers that have agreed to receive them. Consent to texts is not a condition of applying.
- We send up to 4 messages per application. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
- Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply START to opt back in. Reply HELP for help, or email automateboringai@gmail.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Mobile numbers and text-message opt-in data are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-message data is shared only with our SMS provider, Twilio, to deliver messages.
Recruiters who verify a phone number receive one-time verification codes by text. Those messages are not marketing.
13. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
Candidates. When we process your interview data, we act as the employer’s service provider. Please send requests about your application to the employer. If you send them to us, we will help or pass them to the employer.
Recruiters and other California residents whose data we control. This section is our notice at collection.
- Categories we collect: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address, account ID); professional or employment-related information (job applications, interview answers, reviews); audio, electronic, and visual information (video and audio recordings); internet or network activity (logs and app usage); commercial information (plan and billing status); and inferences (AI job-fit summaries and scores). The sources, purposes, and retention periods are described in Sections 2, 3, and 8.
- Sensitive personal information: we collect account sign-in credentials for recruiters. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about anyone, and we use it only as the law allows without a right to limit.
- No sale or sharing: we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
- Your rights: to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to get a copy; to correct it; to delete it; to limit the use of sensitive personal information (which we do not use beyond what the law allows); and not to be discriminated against for using these rights.
- How to make a request: email automateboringai@gmail.com. We will verify your identity by matching the information you give us with what we hold, and we will respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent, who must show written permission from you. You can appeal our decision by replying to our response.
14. Other privacy rights, including in the EU and UK
IntroVid is built for employers in the United States, and our data is stored in the United States. If privacy laws in your state or country give you rights, such as the GDPR in the European Union or the UK GDPR, you may be able to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, receive a copy of it, and withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing that already happened).
- For candidate data, the employer decides why your data is processed and on what legal basis, usually your consent or its legitimate interest in hiring. Send requests to the employer, or to us and we will forward them.
- For recruiter data, we rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and securing IntroVid, and compliance with legal obligations.
- If your data is transferred to the United States from another country, we rely on appropriate safeguards where the law requires them.
- You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
15. Security
We protect personal information with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls that keep each employer’s workspace separate, short-lived signed links for playing back recordings, logged and reason-based staff access, and rate limits on messaging. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify the employer and affected people as the law requires.
16. Children
IntroVid is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Employers may invite only candidates who are of lawful working age for the job. If you believe a child under 13 has used IntroVid, contact us and we will delete the data.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. For material changes, we will also notify active customers by email or in the app before the changes take effect.
